Hi Nils, I arranged a trip to Paris after what I thought would be the end of the Celtic season. With the season being extended I am in Paris on the Thursday 22nd May, the day we clinch the title against Dundee United(-; I am not sure whether you get the games live. I know Setanta are covering back home but I don't know if you guys will get it. Can you let me know if you will definitely get the game?

Hello Nils and the rugby bunch. Am sat e-mailing you watching us win the Welsh/Ireland match from my couch in London - not quite the same without a nice pint in my hands at The Harp! I came back last weekend in a bit of a disorganised rush so did not get round to popping in. I am sure I will be back over soon though - look after yourselves, enjoy the rest of the 6 Nations and will see you soon. Love Charlotte x

I would be very grateful for your support with the following Kind regards, Raymond Daly. PROMOTION OF NEW HISTORICAL SONGBOOK Celtic and Ireland in Song and Story Compiled by Raymond Daly and Derek Warfield For the first time a detailed and comprehensive songbook surrounding key events in Ireland's political, social and sporting history has been compiled. The stories and issues impacted upon the recent Irish immigrant communities in Scotland, noticeably prevalent amongst the supporters of Celtic Football Club, are focused on in particular. These historical songs and ballads have been used by the Irish people to defend and propagate the many related causes of Ireland. They have been known to educate and inform, to bring knowledge and truth through literature and poetry. Above all, the lyrics and tunes in Celtic et Ireland in song and story… are far reaching, educational, and of course, provide a great source of pleasure. www.celticsongbook.com

From:  Raymond DalyDate:  25-01-2008

-on words about Her Majesty! And the early 1990s that dreadful time in our history saw the birth of the "Fields of Athenry", a song sung by its writer Peter St.John at half time at a game between Celtic and Falkirk in April 1996. The book is awash with detail and is clearly written by two enthusiasts. One of the writers Derek Warfield is associated with the Wolfe Tones group, and the other is a man called Raymond Daly who travels on the Mid Leinster Celtic Supporters Club from Tullamore. This book is indispensable to anyone who wishes to know what Celtic is all about. It is well illustrated, although I have doubts about the photograph on page 424 which purports to be Celtic in 1935. The players are none too familiar. It is possibly a reserve team, or it may even be Kilmarnock, Morton, Hamilton Accies or some other hooped team. But that is a small blemish. In other respects, it is a very fine book. No Celtic supporter should be without it. David Potter (Celtic Historian)

A. ZOUBER

Anyway, back on track, I intend to stay in Paris for a few months during a gap year from education. I was wondering whether you could give me some hints on good places to do long-term rentals in Paris for cheap as well as some places where I could maybe get a part-time job. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work with the bar - hopefully I'll come and say hello next year!

Hi Ricky, yes it is true that there is a extremeist supporters group called the www.boulogne-boys.org/ that is to be avoided, however there is another one that is serious and non violent called Lutece falco http://lutece.falco.free.fr/pub/ and i would recomend getting tickets in their end. Getting tickets should not be a problem as long as it is not a PSG vs Marseille game wich is the Big derby. Cheers Nils

From:  Ricky (proud US soccer supporter)Date:  12-02-2007

Nils, Thanks for the reply. If I may ask something else. I would love to attend a PSG match but I have read the news stories about the extremist supporter groups. Would you advise someone who speaks no French and is American to attend a PSG match? How about a scary-cat woman (my wife)? Any advice on sections to avoid beside behind the goals? Is PSG so popular that I need to buy tickets far in advance. Sorry to ask these questions. I owe you a beer when I come to your pub to see United take the EPL title away from Chelsea. Cheers mate.

Hi Geoff. There are several bar that can show Champions league games, however I don't know if they will show the Celtic v Benefica game, being English and french games on at the same time. Yes kids are welcome that is no problem. Cheers Nils

I'll be in France (on hols with family from Glasgow) on the 17th October. We're staying in Montparnasse and we're looking for a place to watch the Benfica game. Is your pub the only place in Paris showing this game or are there are places closer to our hotel. Also is it ok for kids to be in the pub (aged 7 and 11) Any help appreciated. Cheers

If anyone would be so kind to bring some poteen i will gladly pay for it, but over here you CAN'T GET IT... used to have some but ran out since it is popular...

From:  John MurphyDate:  07-09-2006

Oh my god i can't believe someone has asked about the irish poteen!! Thats exactly what i asked when i visited because i thought of all places you would have it! But no! Why not?! We are talking 90% quadrupled poteen....just like my grandad used to brew (but you don't drop after drinking it!).....well at least we can get it on the ferries!

From:  MurdochDate:  03-09-2006

Thank you

From:  NilsDate:  02-09-2006

Yep, sure does, ALL GAMES LIVE...

From:  MurdochDate:  01-09-2006

Hi When you say "all Celtic games" does that include home fixtures?

From:  rebecca smithDate:  26-08-2006

Fantastic craig and I went out of my way to find you. Nearly 10 out of 10 for everything. BUT why no Irish Poteen in an Irish Pub? On all the ferry routes I know from Ireland to the U.K. they stock triple-distilled Knockeen Hills Irish Poteen and the Farmers Strength at 60% is great. The label has a web site name which is www.irish-poteen.com and perhaps when I come in again before Christmas, you might have some.'

Rock on. /Kris
